“Dioramas” from photos

Posted in Photography at 8:24 pm by rachel

I love photography tricks. This one comes via Craftzine.com, and it’s called the TiltShiftMaker. It’s a focusing trick that makes a photograph look like it’s a little diorama. Go check it out! Here are some I made:

parisbridge-tiltshift

strassburg-tiltshift

moroccoboats-tiltshift

Love it! I saved directions to do it in photo shop a while back, but they were a bit complex and the results weren’t so stunning. I can’t wait to try this!!

Aren’t they fun? They work best with city scenes or landscapes. I love the Cassis example on the Craftzine site.

Emily: if anyone can figure out how to do it “by hand” it’s you! I like little programs that let me cheat. :)
